Skylar Johnson

My name is Skylar Johnson and I am from Fayetteville, Arkansas and I currently play in a band based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma called Advocate. I have never strived to be a guitar or bass virtouso; Ive never wanted to shred or anything like that. Im much more interested in clever and interesting composition. Good grooves, and heavy tones. If I had to say an influence of mine, it would have to be Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead. I just love dirty, gritty tone. A friend of mine let me borrow the Mark V from Taurus Pedals, I took it home and plugged it in, and it just roared. I Didnt know what to do with it at first, but I did some tweaking and I somehow contained the epic snarl of the pedal. I couldnt be more happier with my set up, and I am humbled as well as honored to be supporting a great local builder.
